Creating and Saving Views

Saved Views allow users to set Route Options and filter their Orders page using custom criteria, and save these filters & options to plan any future routes that require the same criteria. Saved Views can be created in under 30 seconds and used permanently for any future route planning.

In the example below, we've created a Saved View containing orders that are not currently added to a route, and limited the Saved View to only include orders within a specific city:

Follow along below for a step-by-step breakdown of how to create and work with your own Saved View.

Access your filter controls:

Navigate to your EasyRoutes Orders page, and click the Add filter button above your list of orders to access currently available filters:

Details on all available filters can be found in our Order Filters documentation.

Select any desired filters:

Choose your desired filter(s) from the available list - any number of filters can be added at once to pinpoint exactly the orders you need:

  • By default, the Contains address filter will be applied, as EasyRoutes requires an order's address in order to add them to a route.
  • We've selected Route > Not routed for our next filter, so the orders table below will only display orders that have not yet been added to a route.
  • Our next filter is City, which allows us to select from a list of cities that are present in the orders table below. More than one city can be selected at once to cover wider delivery zones.
  • Repeat this step to add as many different filter types as required to narrow the orders table to your route planning needs.

Create a Saved View:

Scroll up to the top of the page to save the filters you've applied as a new Saved View:

Input a name for the Saved View that accurately represents what type of orders it contains - in our example, Toronto Unrouted Orders. You can always update the Saved View later to change its name, or add/remove filters at any point after creating it - more on this below.

Access your Saved View:

After clicking the Save button, your new Saved View will be added as a tab at the top of your Orders page for quick access:

Click into this tab at any time to instantly add any orders that match your Saved View's filters to the map, ready to create a route in a single click.

Route Options and Saved Views:

Any Route Options that are active when creating a Saved View will also be saved. Let's update our Saved View to give drivers 5 minutes at each stop to finish their deliveries, and limit routes to a maximum of 3.5 hours:

Route Options can also be configured to suit your delivery needs before creating a Saved View. Details on all available route options can be found in our Route Options documentation.

Updating a Saved View:

Update Saved Views to add or remove filters at any time. Let's add an additional filter to only show orders with an Open status, and update our Saved View to include this filter too:

When re-saving your View, you can also update the Saved View's name to reflect any changes that have been made.

Removing a Saved View:

Saved Views can be removed at any time from the Edit View panel:

Additional Tips:

If your orders don't automatically show up on the map as pins when you click into a Saved View, access your EasyRoutes Settings > General tab, and ensure the Automatically add orders to map when on a saved view checkbox is ticked within the Additional options section:
