How can I adjust a route to have stops deliver at the start or end of a route?

EasyRoutes will create a route based on based on minimizing travel time for the constraints that you provide — so generally it's not done by selecting the furthest stop, but here are some suggestions to use our time windows feature or to manually adjust the route.

Most importantly, if you care about when stops are made, we recommend either Bulk actions on a route or using our visual planning tools to set a time window to ensure similar stops are delivered at the same time. This gives the planning algorithm additional information to produce routes that you prefer. You can certainly use this to group specific orders by a time window near the start of the route, or later in the day and re-optimize the route to produce a more desirable result.

Beyond that, to optimize your routes to start with the furthest stop from the starting point, you can also just manually adjust the order of your stops. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the following article: How do I re-order stops in a route?

Also, there are times where reversing the route makes a lot of sense for certain routes where this will make the first stop be one that is further away. For reversing the order of the stops, which might be closer to what you're looking for, we have an action you can use for that. You can find the instructions here: How do I reverse a route?

This will allow you to have local orders scheduled later in the day, keeping you closer to the end destination towards the end of the route.
