Map Selection Tools

EasyRoutes' map selection tools allow route planners to visually select, add, and remove orders directly from the map before adding them to a new route. For step-by-step instructions on creating a new route using these map selection tools, see this support article.

Pro Tip: To give yourself a larger area to work with when visually planning on the map, click the Expand map button within the map controls to increase the display size of the map view. Your active Route Options panel will be relocated below the map until it's sized back down using the Shrink map button.

The map selection tools can be found in the top-right corner of your map on the Orders page:

Inspect Mode & Select Mode

Click either of these icons to activate their respective mode:

  • Inspect Mode: The top of the two buttons (a solid black cursor) activates Inspect Mode - this mode will be active by default. Click any pin on the map to see more details about that particular stop.
  • Select Mode: Click the bottom of the two buttons (cursor and pin icon) to activate Select Mode. Click any pin(s) on the map to select those orders, which can then be added to a route, or removed from the map, depending on your workflows (see below).

Draw polygon tool

Click on this icon, then click on multiple points on the map to draw a polygon (shape) around a group of order pins. Double-click to finalize your shape and select all the orders contained within the shape:

You can draw multiple polygons. This button deletes any polygon that was just drawn:

For more information on drawing polygons and creating delivery zones for future re-use, check out this support article.

Action tools

Once orders have been selected using either of the above methods, the Order Actions button (three dots icon) will appear:

From the Order Actions menu, you can choose to:

  • Unselect orders: Unselects any orders that have already been selected.
  • Keep selected orders: Keeps selected order pins on the map, and removes any unselected order pins from the map.
  • Clear selected orders: Removes selected order pins from the map, and keeps any unselected order pins on the map.
