Can my drivers update item quantities from the mobile app?
If your business delivers goods where the quantity to be delivered is not known until your driver is at their drop-off point - for example, delivery businesses offering fuel refills or linen service - review the tips below to provide your staff tools to record, track, and maintain records of these variable deliveries with EasyRoutes.
Driver Tasks
Setting up a text input or number input task would give drivers a reminder and option to log the updated order quantity for each of their stops, which would then be logged back to EasyRoutes for further processing on the route planner's end. Tasks can also be made mandatory, which would then require a driver to input a value before they can mark a stop as complete and/or attempted if this is something that needs to be enforced consistently.

Driver Notes
Drivers can also use the "Note" proof of delivery item from the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app, and input the updated order quantity for any stops on their route, which would also sync back to EasyRoutes for future reference/processing by route planners and admins. Note-type proof of delivery can also be made mandatory to complete before a driver can mark a stop as complete and/or attempted.

Shopify / EasyRoutes Direct Login
If editing item quantities directly is an absolute must for drivers in the field, users could consider granting drivers access to their EasyRoutes account: with EasyRoutes for Shopify, this would be via their own Shopify login, which would allow them to update order quantities directly from EasyRoutes within the Shopify mobile app. With EasyRoutes for Web, additional users can be added as Members, and would then be able to login to EasyRoutes directly from their mobile device. Keep in mind this would give drivers full access to any EasyRoutes functionality, so it should be used with caution.
