How to modify or disable the shipping confirmation notification that says "Your order is on the way"

If you are sending out a notification with a default message that says "Your order is on the way" but you aren't sure if this is desired or you aren't sure where this is found, you are likely sending out the default "shipping confirmation" email when an order is fulfilled. By default, tracking link integration is enabled and a "shipping confirmation" email is sent when an order is fulfilled (usually, when it is marked as ready in a route in EasyRoutes).

Currently, we attempt to send a notification using your Shopify Notification templates for the following events - these events are mapped to states that are a part of a fulfilled order. EasyRoutes currently will attempt to fulfill your order for accessing these notifications.

Note: We are only able to add a tracking link with this notification setting enabled (and this is the event through which a customer will see their tracking link in an email). Recommended next steps (3 options): 

  1. Update the messaging in your "shipping confirmation" email so that it more appropriately reflects your use of this notification. Instructions on editing your shipping confirmation notification template can be found here.
  2. If you do not want your customers to be able to see a link to their tracking page in their order status or receive a shipping confirmation notification at all, you can disable this notifications within EasyRoutes with the following instructions:
    1. In EasyRoutes, Go to Settings -> Notifications
    2. Uncheck "When fulfilling orders with EasyRoutes, add a tracking link on these orders in Shopify"
    3. Uncheck "Shipping Confirmation" notification
  3. Consider using EasyRoutes notifications to provide email and SMS notifications instead.
