EasyRoutes for Shopify
Route Planners
By default, all scheduled routes use the same time zone as your Shopify store settings:
If you are planning for a route to start in a different time zone (e.g., your store is in Chicago in Central Time but the warehouse and delivery routes start in Indianapolis in Eastern Time), you can override the time zone.
EasyRoutes displays scheduled and estimated dates and times in the time zone that the route it scheduled in. Time zone abbreviations (e.g., EST for Eastern Standard Time) will be added to scheduled dates and times if the scheduled time zone is different from your computer's time zone. This simplifies the user interface for the most common case where your Shopify store settings, route, and computer time zone are all the same.
For example, compare the following where the route is scheduled in same time zone as the computer's time zone (top) vs. where the route is scheduled in a different time zone (bottom):
Finally, for individual stops that may be in a different time zone than the route they will have their ETAs and time windows in the time zone of the stop.
For example, for a hypothetical route that departs from Chicago (Central Time) and has stops in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan where some regions are in Eastern Time, the ETAs and time windows column headers will be in Central Time with individual stops in Eastern Time where necessary:
Data Export
When exporting data either via Comma Separated Value (CSV) or to clipboard, the time zone is always included so that the exported data is always the same regardless of who exported it.
Drivers
Drivers always see scheduled and estimated dates and times in the time zone of their device.
Customer Tracking
Customers always see scheduled and estimated dates and times in the time zone of their device.
