I can't tap EasyRoutes buttons within the Shopify mobile app
We've received reports from users that certain EasyRoutes buttons (for example, route dispatch and scheduling controls) found within pop-up modals in the Shopify mobile app can become inaccessible, and hidden behind the Shopify app's navigation bar.
This behaviour appears to be related to a mobile app update recently released by Shopify, and is not caused by any recent changes or updates to EasyRoutes itself. We've filed a bug report with the Shopify team and are hopeful a fix will be issued quickly, but in the meantime, you can restore functionality by following these steps:
For affected Android devices:
- Access your Android Settings, and select the Apps item; select Shopify from the installed apps listed here.
- From the App info panel for the Shopify app, access the Storage and cache option - tap both of the Clear storage and Clear cache buttons here.
- Re-open the Shopify app - after clearing storage/cache, you'll need to login to your account and choose your store again.
- Navigate to EasyRoutes from the app's menu - pop-up buttons should be accessible again.
For affected iOS devices:
- From your device's Home Screen, find the Shopify app icon - long press this icon, and select Remove app, pressing Delete app and Delete on the next two pop ups to fully remove the app from your device.
- From the App Store, search for and re-install the Shopify app.
- Open the newly reinstalled Shopify app - you'll need to login to your account and choose your store again.
- Navigate to EasyRoutes from the app's menu - pop-up buttons should be accessible again.
iOS Option 2:
Navigate to your device's Settings menu, and search for Shopify - from the app's settings page, turn the Remove all sessions on next launch toggle on. Fully close the Shopify app (i.e. swipe up from the bottom of your screen to the middle and pause to open the App Switcher. Swipe left or right to find the Shopify app, then swipe up on its preview to close it). When re-opening the Shopify app after this, you'll be prompted to log in again and select your store - navigate to EasyRoutes from the app's menu, and button functionality should be restored.
Note that on both mobile platforms, if the app is closed & re-opened again, the issue with button display may re-appear - we recommend following the above steps again to fix the issue if it does arise again before a new, fixed version has been released.
