What's New on EasyRoutes - April/May 2023

Here's what we've been doing this month on EasyRoutes:


May 25

  • You can now set max duration, item and stop limits on a single route
  • UI improvements related to adding custom items on a stop

  • You can now expand the map and see more of it for planning.

  • You can now specify a time window when importing stops from a .CSV

  • Ability to add custom or manual items into a stop
  • Ability to limit the number of order items or the weight for a route when planning multiple routes
  • Smart time window detection for route planning: EasyRoutes now supports planning routes using time window information collected from popular date picker apps. When you create a route with a start date and time, and you have collected time window information for an order, we will attempt to use this information for planning your routes.
  • Various bug fixes and usability improvements.

May 10

  • We have rolled out updates to our directions engine, with the following improvements:
    • Routes can attempt to avoid u-turns for a better delivery experience for certain vehicles
    • ETAs now take into account delivery start time in addition to historical traffic speed data
  • Various bug fixes and usability improvements.

May 8

  • Updates to make it easier to filter and find a specific driver when assigning a driver for a route for stores with many drivers.
  • Set a font size to increase the size of stop number on a packing slip or label
  • Various bug fixes and usability improvements.

May 5

  • You can now select when an order is fulfilled (e.g. at specific stop statuses), or disable fulfillment completely and handle fulfilling orders outside of EasyRoutes.
    • You can also override this for any particular stop
    • This feature is only available if you are using EasyRoutes email notifications
  • EasyRoutes Delivery Driver 1.0.20 is released:
      • Support for the new fulfillment order options
        • Note: for this feature to work as expected, drivers must be using this latest release
      • Pinch-to-zoom support on the camera for proof of delivery photos.
  • New option to set a scheduled date and time when you are first planning a route.
  • Re-optimizing stops in a group or route will prompt you to confirm you have stops in progress.
  • Various bug fixes and usability improvements.

  • Updated layout and new autocomplete suggestions now available when adding or editing an address for a stop.

  • You can now cancel the fulfillment from a route stop.

  • You can now see when a stop has an edited address that's different than the order's shipping address (or when this address gets updated via update order data)

  • You can now mark individual stops as Ready for Delivery.
  • Delivered/Attempted stops will have reset statuses when sent to a new route.

  • EasyRoutes Delivery Driver v1.0.18 offers new features and improvements, including the ability to view inventory by stop order, see total drive time for each delivery, and view routes planned with the new time window feature. We have also addressed bugs and made performance fixes to make loading faster and scrolling smoother.
